CE Connect is a free online continuing education platform for EMS and Trauma Providers from Centura Health. For EMS, courses are provided through State of Colorado Training Centers #CO 039 (SAH), #CO 040 (PSF) and #CO 065 (SDG). The system hosts live webinars and web based (anytime) courses to EMS providers utilizing the 2016 NCCP categories. Frequently, agencies under Centura Health medical direction may also track course completion from regularly scheduled continuing education classes led by Centura Health PreHospital instructors.

About CE Connect
Is there any cost to use the system?
There is no cost for the CEs found on this site. There may be courses on the site associated with programs, such as the Paramedic Program, which have fees.
Are courses self-paced or instructor-led?
- Both. After logging into CE Connect, select “Courses” on the dashboard. You will have several options. If you signed up for a live, Instructor Lead class, select the “Live Online” option to find your class. If you wish to take an archived class, select “On-Demand” to see the course library. Select your option and enjoy.
How do I sign up for your mailing list?
- Create an account on CE Connect and you’ll be added to the mailing list. If you opt-out of the emails (unsubscribe on the mailing), you will continue to receive system notifications (ex. registration and course completion notifications).
Do I need to be affiliated or be under Centura Health Medical Direction to use CE Connect?
- CE Connect is available to any individual or organization. Additional capabilities maybe available to agencies by request.
Account Questions
How do I reset my username and password?
- Go to the login tab at the top right of the front page. Click on Visitor Login. Click on the 3rd tab labeled “Forgot Visitor Password”. You will be asked to submit your email with a math question. This will then send you an email with your login information and a link to reset your password. Once you are logged in, click on the My Account tab and then Edit tab. From this page you can then change your username with your new password. Make sure you scroll to the bottom of the screen and click Save.
What contact details do I need to enter and why do I need to enter my phone number?
- First name, last name, state, phone number (mobile) and email address are the required fields. Your cell phone number is used for texting attendance for live classes. Additionally, your number may be used for support. .
I need to update my email, name, or phone number. How do I update my details?
To update profile information
- Navigate to the Home Page.
- Click on the "My account" link at the top right corner of the page.
- Click on the "Edit" tab. Click on the "Profile" subtab.
- Select time zone settings for local time display.
- Click "Save."
What happens if I change agencies or become unaffiliated?
- Navigate to the Home Page.
- Click on the "My account" link at the top right corner of the page.
- Click on the "Edit" tab" at the top of the page. The following may be edited: Scroll down and update the organization. You may remove your organization(s) by clicking on the "x" beside the agency name. If you are unaffiliated, leave the organization blank. If you are affiliated and your organization is not listed, use the Organization (if not listed above) field.
- Click the "Save" button
What do I do if my agency is not listed?
- Navigate to the Home Page.
- Click on the "My account" link at the top right corner of the page.

How does CE Connect handle different time zones?
By default, CE Connect displays Denver/Mountain Time. Learners can edit their account Time Zone details by doing the following:
- Navigate to the Home Page.
- Click on the "My account" link at the top right corner of the page.
- Click on the "Edit" tab" at the top of the page.
- The following may be edited: Select time zone settings for local time display.
- Click the "Save" button
Technical Questions
Do I need a webcam/microphone/speakers?
- Instructor-led, interactive classes require a microphone if students wish to ask questions verbally. Pre-recorded classes do not require a webcam or a microphone but require a speaker or headphones.
Can I take CE on a tablet or phone?
- Yes, however; all the functions do not work with Internet Explorer, and Icons may appear smaller or different on a phone/tablet. Videos played back may need buffering depending on your internet speed and connection.
Credit, Accreditation, and Certificate Questions
What counts as CE?
Certain courses can be used for renewal and others can not. Learn more (be sure to click the arrows to expand the topics)
If I miss a webinar, can I get CE credit for watching the recording?
- Centura offers a number of webinars for live credit. However, not all are available for archived access. Nearly every NREMT category has course credits available via the On Demand selection.
What are the attendance requirements?
- For a live class, a student must attend at least 75% of the course in order to obtain full CE credit. If a crew is on-duty and receives a call, the crew must have watched 50% of the presentation in order to receive credit.
How long do courses take to complete?
- Both Instructor led and archived classes usually last between 1 and 2 hours. Students must attend at least 75% of the Instructor Led class in order to obtain CE credit. A student can open an archived class and take the class at their leisure. Once the archived class is complete the student must take a quiz (usually10-questions) and pass the quiz with an 80% in order to obtain CE credit. The quiz will add another 10-15 minutes to the total run time of the archived class.
Do you track my CE for me?
- Once you complete an Instructor Led class or archived class with quiz, CE credit is awarded and will be stored within your transcript for access at a later date. For live classes, you may need to wait a few days after completion before credit is awarded.
Will I receive a completion certificate? How do I print a certificate of completion?
- After you have completed all the course listed objectives, quizzes, and evaluations, you will be prompted to accept your credit for the allotted credit hours. Once you hit accept you may download a copy of your certificate. This certificate will specify the CE hours and type the credit is. You can view your completed course certificates through the My Activity tab found in your Account.
- Alternatively, go to the home page (click the Centura logO0 under the Centura Logo towards the top of the left, pick "My Account" then "Transcript". Scroll down to the middle left and pick "Completed Activities." Scroll down and you will see your completed courses. Pick the course and on the right hand side under Certificate. You will see "Download." Click download and you can print your certificate.
How do I print my transcript?
- Under the My Account menu, you will find a link for transcript. Click the link. Once on the “Completed Activities” page, you will find a link that says “Download PDF”. This will contain your completed courses. You may use the default date parameters or filter completions by date. Only completions and certificates that were entered on this system (after July, 2022) are available. If you need a transcript from our legacy system, please contact us.
Are you accredited? By whom?
Centura Health PreHospital Services is accredited by the State of Colorado.
How do I break down my hours by state category, not NREMT category
- You can match it to one of the State of Colorado 6 Categories including Pediatric, Patient Assessment, O/B Neonates, Elective, Preparatory or Other. If unsure consult with your agency Training Officer, as to which state category they recommend for a specific topic.
Can I repeat the same CE multiple times if I want?
- It is permitted to repeat a CE as many times as you would like. However, you may only use course credit one time during a renewal cycle. You may retake a class on renewal.
Is there a limit to how many CE classes I can take?
- No. There is no limit to the number of CE classes you can take. The limitations to CEs classes may be or include a cap on the number of participants, prerequisites that you do not meet, restricted access (such as paramedic program). If taking On-Demand courses, please consult NREMT and state guidelines to determine if there are limits on distributed education credits.
Are your courses CAPCE approved?
- Courses offered by Centura PreHospital Services are not CAPCE approved. However, the courses are recognized by NREMT as offered by a state training center (Colorado).
Will CE hours count towards NREMT renewal?
- CE hours in the relevant topic areas will count towards NREMT renewal. Some class offerings may be beyond the scope of NREMT hours, and be offered purely for their educational benefit. See the course description for details.

Does Centura offer skills testing for students?
- Centura does not offer skills testing through this site. However, there may be Live Classes that come up which are agency/program specific and may include a skill testing component. If you have a specific skill testing need, you may use the Comment/Inquire section. Hover over the ABOUT tab and click on CONTACT US. Fill out the form by providing your name, selecting CE Related Comment/Inquiry, type your specifics in the Question or Comment section and then select yes or no on follow-up.
Do you offer EMT and/or paramedic refresher programs?
- Centura does not offer a full refresher. However, Centura has offered both a 20 hour "Webinar Week" online program and 30 hour "Paramedic Refresher" in the first quarter of past years. If you have an account on the system, you will receive notification of upcoming educational opportunities periodically, including details online continuing education programs.

My NREMT EMT certification has expired, what can I do?
Lapsed 0-24 Months
If you did not meet all recertification requirements by the expiration date, the National EMS certification is considered lapsed. Entry requirements for a currently state licensed EMT can be found on the EMT page (first bullet in the Notes section<https://www.nremt.org/EMT/Certification#Notes>).
Reentry into the National Registry may be granted to those who previously held, but do not currently hold, a state EMT license or a National EMT Certification the candidate completes:
- 40 hours of continuing education that meets all requirements of the 2016 National Continued Competency Program within the past two years
- A state administered practical examination
- The National Registry Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Computer-Based (Cognitive) Examination
- And holds current CPR-BLS for "Healthcare Provider" or equivalent credential
Lapsed More Than 2 Years
Reentry into the National Registry may be granted to those who previously held, but do not currently hold, a state EMT license or a National EMT Certification provided the candidate completes:
- 40 hours of continuing education that meets all requirements of the 2016 National Continued Competency Program within the past two years

Can your educators come out to my agency and deliver an in-person class?
- On the home screen, hover over the About tab and click on Contact Us. Some instructors may not be available at all if they are out of state or were contracted by Centura to provide a one-time lecture. Other factors include distance, availability of instructor, role within the organization.
Can we host a web based course on our LMS?
- On the home screen, hover over the About tab and click on Contact Us.
