This training will present stroke recognition for the EMS provider. It will discuss how to recognize signs and symptoms of a stroke in the Prehospital Environment. How to differentiate between ischemic stroke and hemorrhagic stroke. it will be presented by the Neuroscience Program manager from St Anthony Hospital and her team.

This will be a presentation for EMS providers by Dr. Wesley Reynolds a Neurologist at St Anthony Hospital which is a comprehensive stroke center. This presentation will discuss the differences between ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, what stroke symptoms are and how they may present in patients. The presentation will then discuss key elements of Prehospital stroke care including stroke screening vs stroke severity tools and all the elements of a primary and secondary stroke assessment.
