Learning Objectives

Upon completion the learner will be able to:

  • Discuss EMS practices toward the management of hemorrhagic/traumatic patients in relation to fluid resuscitation, permissive hypotension, blood products, and medications like TXA.

  • Review current bleeding control practices for prehospital providers, including the use of tourniquets.

  • Correlate patient transport options with patient presentations in the context of trauma & hemorrhaging injuries.
