Cardiac Monitor Orientation
This one hour, hands-on demonstration and orientation was created to familiarize staff with a new cardiac monitor to the agency - the Lifepak 15. This training was taylored to the scope of practice and standing orders for the attendees (EMT-Basic or EMT-P). Discussed and practiced included but was not limited to: 3-lead and 12-lead placement and preparation, acquiring NIBP, SPO2 monitoring, AED mode, inline capnography set-up and monitoring, and general caring for the equipment and batteries.
