This class will introduce the student to the recognition and management of the concussed patient.

Nicci is a Masters prepared RN and maintains her SCRN nursing credential and ATC Athletic Trainer credential. Nicci has been in neuroscience for a total of 16 years, 10 of those in sports medicine and concussion management as a Certified Athletic Trainer and 6 years as a nurse, in both the Emergency Department and Stroke Program management. Nicci has worked for Centura Health for 4 years and is currently the lead stroke coordinator at a comprehensive stroke center in the Denver metro area. Nicci has extensive speaking experience at both the local and the regional levels and is a principal investigator in a prospective, international research trial. Nicci participates in the protocol and guideline development for the 19-hospital Centura Health system across Colorado and Kansas. Nicci is proud to have the privilege of authoring multiple projects presented at previous AANN conferences as well as the American Heart/American Stroke International Stroke Conference.
