Case Review with Medical Direction
Dr. Brockmeyer is the medical director for Summit County Rescue Group. She held a case review where she talked about several cases from the last year that are pertinent to our current winter rescue environment. Dr. Brockmeyer discussed recent avalanche deaths from a medical standpoint, including trauma, hypothermia and suffocation as possible avalanche victim outcomes. Also discussed some recent hypothermia and rewarming cases along with how we can better our patient care as an agency.
