Contributing Factors of Cardiac Arrest - Lecture
This lecture covered the BLS components of the 5 H's and T's and patient presentation. Presented anatomy and physiology of upper airway and BLS management of the airway during arrest. Reviewed importance of ETCO2 monitoring in conscious and unconscious patients. Review PEEP with video presentation. Performed hands-on 2 rescuer BVM technique. Review of naloxone (IV/IN/IM) for opioid overdose.
