Helicopter Safety + Crew Resource Management and Interagency Cooperation

This training was organized in two parts. The first part was a demonstration for prehospital treatment of a trauma patient (TBI) using Denver Metro Protocols and ABSP best practices. Emphasis on crew resource management and verbal hand-off to air medical crew and cooperation in patient transport. The second half of this training was lead by the flight crew from Lifeguard 2 (FFL-Frisco) and emphasized helicopter safety, landing zone setup, radio communications and emergency procedures. FFL crew also presented on their capabilities for patient treatment including whole blood, ventilators and automated CPR compressors.
