This course has two parts. The first part will discuss Scope of practice and legal issues that EMS providers need to be aware of and abide by. The second part of the course will go over trauma nd medical skills for EMS providers

Learning Objectives

 Objectives:

1. Be able to name what is in the scope of practice according to Denver Metro Protocols for BLS providers 

2. Be able to demonstrate how to place  a c-collar, tractions splint on a trauma patient

3. Be able to demonstrate how to ventilate patient with a BVM and how to place a Non-rebreather

4. Be able to demonstrate how to take a blood glucose

5> Be able to demonstrate how to place 12 lead ECG on a patient
