This training will discuss and teach crisis intervention and de-escalation of patients by EMS by using various techniques.

Learning Objectives
Objective 1: By the end of this training, the participants will be able to describe a range of mental health crises experienced by patients.
Objective 2: By the end of this training, the participants will be able to demonstrate de-escalation techniques on patients experiencing a mental health crisis.
Objective 3: By the end of this training, the participants will be able to demonstrate when a scenario is appropriate for verbal de- escalation before resorting to chemical or physical restraints.
