- Apply appropriate verbal de-escalation techniques to manage agitated or distressed patients.
- Implement safe and effective physical restraint techniques when medically necessary and in accordance with protocols.
- Understand the legal and ethical considerations related to behavioral emergency care, including patient rights and documentation requirements.
- Formulate a safe and appropriate transport plan for patients experiencing behavioral emergencies.
- Collaborate effectively with law enforcement and mental health professionals in managing behavioral emergencies.
