Description: This talk gives a comprehensive overview of decision making in the prehospital setting, search and rescue and helicopter rescue considerations, and wilderness medicine using a case study based on a real rescue and trauma scenario in our local area. The talk walks step by step through the decision making process, summarizes injuries and outcomes and discusses the lessons learned by the rescue and care team.
