CCEMS (IH) Avalanche Training Nov 23, 25, 27th 2025

This training will create awareness of avalanche conditions, local terrain and patient treatment per DMEMSD and Common Spirit Protocol

 

Target Audience

CCEMS & CCFA EMS providers

Learning Objectives

Objective 1:

By the end of this training, the participant will be able to identify common avalanche terrain and sites in Clear Creek County.

Objective 2:

By the end of this training, the participant will be able to identify what conditions create higher risk for avalanches and explain how an avalanche may form.

Objective 3:

By the end of this training, the participant will be able to name all avalanche rescue equipment on CCEMS ambulances, and understand general rescue parameters/local protocols.
