HAPE, HACE, and Hypothermia

Presentation with visual aids, case study and hands-on practice. Dr. Jarod Berggren is an Emergency Medicine physician with USACS in Denver, CO. His presentation included but wasn't limited to the physiology behind altitude related emergencies like HAPE and HACE; key points in patient assessment, prevention and treatment or ideal transportation decisions. Included real patient presentations from case studies, including vital signs and ECG rhythms. Discussed and practiced proper patient handling and packaging to prevent heat loss in hypothermic patients.
