Cardiac and Respiratory Emergencies
Dr. Selby is one of the medical directors for Breckenridge Ski Patrol. She presented on common cardiac and respiratory emergencies with the considerations of cold weather and high altitude. Discussion included providing differential diagnoses based an a set of signs and symptoms. Discussed the Denver Metro Protocols regarding BLS and ALS medication interventions, including aspirin, albuterol, epinephrine IM. Presented some wave form capnography and ECG images to discuss. This was an in-person training where participants could engage in conversation and ask questions with real-time answers.
