Trauma based skill training including splinting, application of vacuum mattress, pelvic binders. IV and IO placement and bleeding control techniques.

Target Audience

CCEMS & CCFA EMS providers

Learning Objectives

Objective 1: The participant will be able to identify the need for various trauma splints to include vac mat and pelvic binder.

Objective 2: The participant will be able to demonstrate the ability to place an IV and IO on mannequin.

Objective 3: The participant will be able to demonstrate the application of a full body vacuum splint, pelvic binder and bleeding control techniques.
