Review of lightning emergencies and how it affects the body physiologically with an overview of 2025 Clear Creek case study. Review how the body gains and loses heat. Review the different heat emergencies with hands on scenario practice.

Learning Objectives

Objective 1:  By the end of this training, the participant will be able to identify the proper care and treatment for a lightning strike victim. 

Objective 2:  By the end of this training, the participant will be able to differentiate between different heat related emergencies. 

Objective 3:  By the end of this training, the participant will get hands on scenario practice with lightning and heat related illnesses.
