SAR CON 2026: Litter, Lines, & Vital Signs
We often talk about “secure” packaging, but less about what it does to the patient’s physiology during a long raise or lower. This session looks at how
spinal concerns, respiratory status, pain, and hypothermia should drive packaging choices. Working through scenarios, we’ll examine harness vs
litter setups, positioning, padding and restraint, highlighting simple rigging tweaks that meaningfully change medical outcomes.
