Mercy Hospital Trauma Conference 2026

Conference Overview
The 2026 Mercy Hospital Trauma Conference will address clinical topics and evidence-based
practices regarding the care of trauma patients. Presentations will cover the care of the geriatric
trauma patient, orthopedic trauma considerations, emergency and mass casualty preparedness,
trauma care in austere environments, and traumatic ophthalmic injuries.

Brian Williamson, BSN, RN, CFRN, CCRN,
CMTE, CLNC, Author of SILENT TRAUMA: The
Side of Healthcare We Don't Talk About, will
provide our keynote address. Brian is a
highly respected expert in critical care and
prehospital medicine. Brian, an accomplished
author and Certified Legal Nurse Consultant,
will delve into the often-unseen challenges
faced by healthcare professionals. Drawing
from his extensive experience in major acute
care hospitals, trauma centers, and as a flight
nurse, he will explore PTSD, moral injury,
traumatic stress, and burnout within the
healthcare landscape.
