Upon completion the learner will be able to:

A deadly drug is threatening the lives of opioid users and the safety of first responders, and confounding EMS personnel trying to treat overdoses. Carfentanil is an extremely powerful drug that was never meant for human use - its original purpose was to sedate elephants. But this cheap and highly potent drug is increasingly being cut into heroin. And EMS is finding that standard doses of naloxone are ineffective at reversing an overdose.
