Avalanche Resuscitation
This was a scenario based training with multiple iterations over the course of several weeks to develop small teams for avalanche rescue. The scenario incorporated avalanche rescue skills (use of avalanche transceiver, RECCO), triage and resource management. Denver Metro and Common Spirit Avalanche Resuscitation protocols put in place. One patient was treated with CPR using the LUCAS device. The other patient was treated for hypothermia and transported rapidly.
