Case Review with Medical Direction and Flight for Life
Dr. Marc Doucette, MD, and the flight crew from Lifeguard 2 hosted a case review for Arapahoe Basin Ski Patrol. Three cases were reviewed in detail; two cases involved cardiac arrest of a medical etiology and the third case was multisystem trauma. Presentation included clinical findings and patient presentation, discussion of medication administration prior to ROSC, post resuscitation care, cardiac rhythms and field pronouncement. Also discussed transportation options (helicopter vs ambulance), automated CPR devices an fluid resuscitation of the multisystem trauma patient. Presentation included hospital imaging, ECG rhythms and post-hospital outcomes.
