CCEMS-Alpine Rescue Skills Training
This training will focus on medical skills being used in the backcountry including taking vitals, Splinting and vacuum mattress, bleeding control and CPR. There will also be case scenarios involving a trauma patient and medical patient and how to get them out of a back country situation. participants will use carrying methods while providing treatment to patients.

Learning Objectives
1) Demonstrate how to obtain a blood pressure, heart rate and respirations rate.
2) Demonstrate how to apply a tourniquet and pack a would to control bleeding
3) Demonstrate how to apply various splints to extremities
4) Demonstrate how to apply a full body vacuum splint
5) Demonstrate how to perform CPR including attaching an AED
6) Demonstrate how to do patient assessment on a medical and trauma patient
7) Demonstrate how to package and manage a critical patient in an austere environment
