CCEMS-CCFA March 17, 2025 CE Matters of the Heart
Overview
This course will discuss various medical issues involving the heart and circulatory system. It will discuss abdominal aortic aneurysm, aortic dissections, Pulmonary embolism and limb ischemia. This course will also go over unusual 12 lead ECGs.

Objectives
1) Be able to describe who an aortic dissection is and what the signs and symptoms are and what prehospital treatment to provide.
2) Be able to describe who an abdominal aortic aneurysm is and what the signs and symptoms are and what prehospital treatment to provide.
3) Be able to describe the signs and symptoms of limb ischemia
4) Be able to describe how to recognize signs of a pulmonary embolism in a patient
5) Be able to name what concerning findings there are on a 12 lead ECG
6) Be able to demonstrate how to set up a 12 lead ECG
