Common Emergencies
Will Dunn is The Associate Director of Quality and Clinical Performance – Denver Emergency Response System. This lecture included many common injuries likely to be encountered by EMS (ski patrol) on the ski hill. Included but not limited to: cold injuries (local tissue injury aka frostbite, and hypothermia), patient assessment and emergent management, clinical manifestations of accidental hypothermia with expected vital signs. Discussion of medication delivery/contraindications for cold patients for ALS providers.
