This course has three parts. The first part will discuss Scope of practice and legal issues that EMS providers need to be aware of and abide by. The second part will discuss OB Field delivery and care of the newly born infant which will include part lecture and part skills based. The third part will discuss and demonstrate agency kit and equipment familiarization with testing.

Objectives:
1. Be able to name what is in the scope of practice according to Denver Metro Protocols for BLS providers
2. Be able to name & demonstrate the steps to field delivery of an infant
3. Be able to name potential complications for an OB patient and the signs and symptoms associated with them.
4. Be able to demonstrate where in the medical kits for the agency specific pieces of equipment are and what they are used for.
