Evergreen Fire EMS division July 15, 2025 CE Protocol Updates/ALS & BLS medications/ Helicopter Safety
This CE will discuss Denver Metro Protocol updates for July 2025 that apply to both ALS and BLS providers. It will also have hands on activity for both BLS & ALS providers to demonstrate indications, contraindications and method for both BLS & ALS medications. It will also have flight fore life Colorado there for a static display and to go over helicopter safety, setting up landing zones and radio communication. There will also be an additional training on community paramedicine.

Objectives:
1) Be able to describe the pertinent changes to Denver Metro Protocols and how to apply them.
2) Be able to name which medications are allowed for scope of practice for both BLS & ALS providers
3) Be able to describe indications and contraindications for both BLS & ALS medications
4) Be able to demonstrate helicopter safety when approaching a helicopter with a patient
5) Be able to describe how to set up a landing zone for a helicopter and what size and particulars are important.
6) Be able to name the ways community paramedicine can help patients and reduce 9-1-1 calls
