Evergreen Fire Rescue First Responder Resiliency- Building Warriors Oct 24, 2022
As firefighters, we witness so much suffering in the lives of those we serve. How can we endure these sights, sounds, and smells over a career without allowing the pain witnessed to impact us negatively? We do it by never wasting the suffering we experience. Our love for humanity can take its toll, but it can also provide us with great perspective by deepening our appreciation for our own lives and our desire to become more for those we serve at work and in our homes. Resiliency is something that every first responder innately has, AND there are ways to build resiliency skills in order to continue to do the job efficiency with a healthy and versatile mind
