Extended Extrication and Patient Care
This course was designed to challenge and educate EMTs on the extended operations response for an injured or ill person on a remote trail within the operating area. Participants assessed the patient, provided BLS treatments such as splinting, hemorrhage control, BLS medication administration and oxygenation, as well as transport to definitive care from a remote location. All patients were extricated using a wheeled litter.
