This class covers Respiratory physiology, hypoxia, chest assessment, EtCO2 waveforms, Airway Vortex, Airway management, and Respiratory medications that the first responder needs to know.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this class the student will be able to:
Discuss how the respiratory system works.
Describe the different causes of hypoxia
Demonstrate how to perform a chest assessment
Describe the waveforms present with an EtCO2 device and the underlying physiology
Demonstrate how to apply the airway vortex to airway management
List the indications and contraindications for the various respiratory medications covered
