Golden Fire BLS Skills Assessment - 2 hours
Students will cover:
Trauma assessment to include bleeding control, traction splint application, C-collar application.
Medical assessment to include CVA, CP, and allergy
Cardiac arrest assessment to include high quality CPR, airway management, AED use, cardiac monitor familiarization.
Target Audience
EMS Providers under Dr. Branney and Dr. Eby.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this class the student will be able to demonstrate:
1. a full trauma assessment to include spinal immobilization, hemorrhage control, and traction splinting
2. a full medical patient assessment involving assessment and treatment for CVA, Chest Pain, and Anaphylaxis.
3. perform an assessment on an unconscious person, demonstrate high quality CPR, use of an AED and/or cardiac monitor application, and management of the airway based on scope of practice.
