By the end of this class the student will:
Using the BEFAST assessment tool, perform a primary and secondary assessment on a suspected stroke patient
Using the LMNOPQST assessment, acquire information regarding chest pain patients
Describe the differences in how women and those with diabetes can present with ACS
Describe the pathophysiology of sepsis
Detail the assessment key points to determine sepsis
Describe how to treat sepsis and septic shock
Describe how to treat patients with GSW and stab wounds t the chest
Describe how to differentiate cardiac tamponade versus tension pneumothorax in the chest trauma patient
Detail the differences between adult trauma and pediatric trauma with regards to presentation, compensation, and treatment
