Highland Genesee Foothills August 2024 CE Pediatrics
This training will focus on the care of Pediatric patient in the prehospital environment. It will discuss using a comprehensive team approach assigning roles to various team members on calls from BLS to critical ALS pediatric patient. This training will also discuss the anatomical, metabolic and physical differences in pediatric patients and how that impacts patient care. The training will conclude with several skills stations to go over Pediatric cardiac arrest, appropriate use of pediatric equipment, pediatric medication doses and administration and how to use child restraint systems.

1) Be able to name metabolic, physician and developmental issues in the pediatric patient and how that impacts patient care.
2) Be able to demonstrate the appropriate steps in Pediatric Cardiac Arrest.
3) Be able to name how to calculate Pediatric medication doses.
4) Be able to demonstrate how to use appropriate child safety restraint system
