This course will cover five topics including Refusals, Medical Field terminations, Advanced Directives, Hospice, Trauma Arrest and Behavioral/Psychiatric. The course will include group activities to engage the learner in the specific of protocol each topic. It will discuss the main concerns and appropriate diagnostics and treatment plan for the patient.

Objectives:
1) Be able to describe the procedure and considerations when calling for termination of efforts in both trauma and medical arrest.
2) Be able to name the types of patients that should be transported in traumatic arrests
3) Be able to describe what EMS providers should do to honor a DNR and Advanced Directives
4) Be able to describe what a RASS score is and the importance of documentation on a Combative patient.
5) Name the types of monitoring required by protocol on after administering sedation
6) Be able to name actions to take with a patient on Hospice who is injured and name need some minor medical care.
