Neurological Injuries- This course first reviews the anatomy of the nervous system and its importance. The course discusses they various types of traumatic brain injuries, signa nd symptoms the patient may present with. The course will go over appropriate treatment for these patients. It also discusses Cushing's triad, the importance of recognizing it quickly and why that is important.

Objectives:
1) To be able to name the basic anatomy of the brain including layers of the meninges
2) Be able to describe the various types of head bleeds and spinal bleeds
3) Describe the signs and symptoms of a head injury
4) Name the characteristics of Cushing's Triad and why it is important to recognize quickly
5) Describe appropriate treatment of the trauma patient
