Learning Objectives
Article 1: Describe current literature surrounding DOAC influence on visoelastic testing. Assess whether DOACs influence ROTEM clotting time in trauma patients. Determine which patients could benefit from assessing presence of anticoagulation via ROTEM.
Article 2:
Describe how blood component therapy compares to the use of whole blood in this study. Describe the findings regarding impact on mortality compare to the hypothesis at the start of the study. Describe the population included in this multicenter study.
Article 3:
Describe the population that was used to determine outcomes in this study. Describe the variables of interest that were used in this study. Describe the result of those trauma patients arriving in greatest psychologic distress who had shorter times from arrival to the OR.
Article 4:
Describe the population that was used to determine outcomes in this study. Describe the variables of interest that were used in this study. Describe the morbidity and mortality of the pediatric trauma patients in this study who received whole blood as part of their trauma resuscitation.
