Patient Packaging and Wheeled Litter Patient Transport
The purpose of this training was to familiarize summer medical staff with equipment for low-angle patient transport and field extrication. A Stokes litter with "fat-tire" was assembled and used. Discussed and practiced rescuer safety for lifting and carrying patients. Discussed proper PPE for transporting patient in wheeled litter - gloves, helmets when necessary. Practiced use of hand brake. And traveled over uneven terrain.
