Spinal Motion Restriction
Review of spinal motion restriction protocol per Denver Metro. This protocol has an additional memo from our medical direction, Dr. Marc Doucette, unique to our agency re: moving a patient from SMR precautions. This training is for BLS and ALS ski patrollers as well as our volunteer paramedics that staff the A-Basin First Aid Room in the Base Area. Hands-on practice with the vacuum mattress, cervical collars and scoops. Additional discussion on protocols: spinal trauma, face and neck trauma, head trauma. Opportunities for question and answer session after presentation.
