Learning Objectives
1.) The participant will define one or more of the recent changes in transfusion medicine that have returned whole blood to the care of the trauma patient
2.) The participant will be able to discuss the "Triangle of Death" and why its early identification in the trauma bay is an important step in preventing excess morbidity and mortality in the trauma patient.
3.) The participant will identify the role and importance of supplemental calcium administration in patients receiving whole blood
