This session is for anyone who wants to better understand different disciplines dogs work within (e.g. trailing, air scent, avalanche, water) and how, when and why to use and work with a dog team. The session will include field demonstrations.

The Stop-the-Bleed and basic airway breakout session is a comprehensive review of two common trauma fundamentals. Airway and hemorrhage control are two clinical areas where rapid intervention can truly save lives.

A discussion of the differences between PLBs (Gen 1 & Gen 2) and various satellite messaging devices. Will discuss the various types of current devices and contacting their emergency response centers. Also, a look to the near future with more satellite cell phones becoming available.
