By the end of this session, designed for those interested in developing and/or updating an annual team training cycle, participants will be able toconnect real world geography and mission history into a training plan, understand how to incorporate new or probationary members into atraining plan, and engage/encourage seasoned members to continue their training. Topics will include site and staff selection, interagency coordination, necessary permissions and permits, training logistics, selection of instruction technique, and more!

In this hands-on scenario, participants will engage in realistic rope rescue operations, utilizing advanced techniques and equipment to safely extractvictims from challenging terrain. This immersive experience will enhance practical skills, teamwork in a mutual aid setting, and decision-makingunder pressure. SAR response gear required is a helmet and recommended gear includes a harness, gloves, and small personal riggingkit. Start time is 0800 at the large parking lot below Porcupine Rock near Keystone.

The CSAR State Backcountry SAR Coordinator Program consists of a group of 20+ highly experienced, volunteer Colorado SAR leadersrecruited from teams across the state. This workshop will give participants the opportunity to learn the vital skills of Stop the Bleed hemorrhage control and tourniquet application. Basic airway management skills used in resuscitation will also be covered. Additionally, join us for an overview of the most common orthopedic injuries that SAR responders may encounter including practical skills utilizing the limited resources available to SAR responders.

Join us on the edge of the training grounds as a few teams demo their setups—including UAVtrailers, zoom-capable flights, drop systems, search software and live video feeds. Whether you're new to UAS or already flying, this is anopportunity to compare notes, share ideas, and see how others are using drones in the field.
