This training will focus on the care of Pediatric patient in the prehospital environment. It will discuss using a comprehensive team approach assigning roles to various team members on calls from BLS to critical ALS pediatric patient. This training will also discuss the anatomical, metabolic and physical differences in pediatric patients and how that impacts patient care. The training will conclude with several skills stations to go over Pediatric cardiac arrest, appropriate use of pediatric equipment, pediatric medication doses and administration and how to use child restraint systems.

These sessions will introduce rope rescue technicians to the foundational skills of ascending and descending fixed lines as well as belaying. These techniques will be discussed, demonstrated and then opened to practice. Harness, helmet, and gloves will be required. Two sessions will be offered.
